Tu, Aug 13th - visited Biochemistry; got advice from Dr. Jack Dunkle, post-doc in the Dunham lab and Samantha, research tech in the Conn lab, about improving my RNA gels
W, Aug 14th - 15% SDS-PAGE TBE-Urea gel of FAM RNA ligation with and without proteinase K - got good bands, except for annoying smears between the 10mer and 20mer product; Raines worked better on this gel than Shuman protein.
F, Aug 16th - orientation begins and safety training with Dr. Lutz
