I was disappointed we didn't have a final in biomolecular. I can't really complain - less work is less work - but it does ensure that we don't essentially learn anything, basically, and I can't respect it. Learning requires a certain measure of suffering. I will always love Dr. Conticello and be extremely fond of him, but this course, unfortunately, must be put a peg lower than the worst I had at UGA, which was biophysical. It's not completely his fault. He did have two trips out-of-state, 4-5 proposal deadlines due and was sick once. I *know* he's capable of better. Someone else should have taken it, who could carry the load, I think. Unfortunately next semester the only useful course in chemistry is biophysical - I checked - it really is the only one. By Dr. Conticello. O.o *headdesk* Noooooo. I was resigned to this, but now I'm feeling rebellious, and will look for ANY means I can to refuse that course in favor of almost anything else, preferably something EVIL hard, just because. Maybe we'll be lucky and Dr. Conticello will not be as busy. Either way, I think this solidifies my decision that I WILL take Pchem for real. No more biophysical nonsense. Pchem. It seems I'm getting into a lot of biophysical anyway. I may as well submit to the torture. Then, I can call myself a real chemist. Must go iron shirts.
