I took mom and dad to visit the lot. John's parent's visited it last week with us. Dad took some great pictures - and insisted that mom and I be in most of them, because he likes people in his pictures. Our lot pictured here: there is an empty space between two rows of houses - this empty space fits three more homes and ours is in the middle. The back of the house overlooks a farm and has two big trees in it. Couldn't be better! I wrote explanatory comments on each picture - see those for more details. The house is 3 1/2 bath, 2 bedrooms + master bedroom and 1 loft that can be converted into 3rd bedroom if desired. No basement. Two story. Master, bedrooms and laundry rooms are on the 2nd story. Projected closing date on the house is Nov. 13th.

We have a contract on a house in Silver Oaks! That was exhausting - LOL! Not sure how we decided on stuff so fast, but things seemed to flow really well. Hoping - desperately, for some much needed sleep, since I haven't slept in two days, and not sleeping terrifies me. HA HA! Probably over-excited about the house stuff. Usually, if I don't sleep maybe 2 nights, I always catch the third. I'll try to post some pictures of the colors and stuff that we picked out soon. They look nice. And John agrees!
House HuntingJohn and I have settled on the Silver Oak neighborhood as our choice of residence, which is basically across the street from my parent's subdivision. Homes there are still newly being built and have small yards. They go for 180's to low 200's. Yesterday we looked through the floor plans again, and decided that yes, we still thought the Madison floorplan was our favorite. Today, we looked at a model home in Gainesville that was the Madison floorplan. We think this is what we're going to go with guys! Still some more praying and thinking to do. Check out the pictures though for now. We could get a basement with it -- but considering the rest of the house, we don't think that's necessary. John and I are pretty unanimous on this floorplan! We are very excited and pleased. More updates in the weeks to come. |
