My brother James and his wife Elizabeth sent the cutest Christmas card of all time. I thought I'd share it with you all. I love seeing pictures of them together. They are adorable.

My brother got married and I was honored to be a part of the wedding! Here are some pictures of the event. Getting ReadyGetting into the Wedding DressThe GuysThe Party!James proposed to Elizabeth in a hot air balloon!! We are so excited for them BOTH! And the ring is purely gorgeous! I am so proud to call James my brother and look forward to seeing their relationship grow! The ring!James sent me this article here about facial recognition for cats: how it can track their feeding patterns, letting the owner know if they are not eating, as well as whether or not another cat attempts to eat their food instead.
James's graduation! After graduation celebration at Ruth Chris Steak House and his old apartment, with the friendly gray catJames's New ApartmentIntro John and James took me to Microcenter to buy the parts for this computer. I admired James as he talked techno speech with the sales guy, haggling over the details. I got a 27" monitor that is simply gorgeous. Also, the four fans on the computer are blue, which matches with the blue glowing mouse I have and the speakers James already gave two Christmas's ago, that have blue buttons. I am seriously the most spoiled person ever. I feel slightly guilty about this fact. Good grief! I've always wanted a supercomputer. James let me put in the parts. He and John worked on screwing all the screws. My beautiful new computer will be christened "Deep Thought" after the computer in Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy, the computer made to compute the Answer to life, the universe and everything. However, my nickname for it is "Beast," because, obviously, it is a beast. The only thing it has left to download on it is Office, the full version of AVG and Malewarebytes. It has Windows 7, ImageJ, Adobe, Dropbox, and is currently in the process of downloading ChemBio Draw, Star Wars the Old Republic and Pymol. I bought Pymol about two months ago. I had to really clean up my desk space which was full to the brim with papers and mail. I ignore mail by habit. I had to go through about a year's worth. It wasn't that bad. I threw most of it away without looking at it, because it was so old and outdated. I organized the rest in a cabinet file system I had setup earlier. In my position, I feel as if I have to choose to ignore some mess. The desk was neglected for some time. Now it has a reason to be used. Here is the building process! I was quite overjoyed, delighted and amazed with the construction and the computer, with comments. This gamer guy GoldVision manages to make a video race in Planetside 2, an action RPG-MMO, into a dry humor stand-up comedy routine, practically. Everything he says is kind of nonsensical and hilarious - I loved it! - to my surprise. I encourage you to watch it, even if maybe, you don't love video games. You don't have to know anything about Planetside 2 to enjoy it.
Christmas Morning! With captions and explanationsDad read us Luke 2, after which we opened each other's presents - my parents, my brother, John and I - here's a picture commentary of the event, and I finally mention what I got all of them. :D These were taken on James's very nice camera and processed by dad. Mom and dad like to get James and I one big gift, maybe 1-2 medium gifts and lots of tiny gifts, so there are lots of funny things to open and laugh at. I try to get mom, dad, James and John small, useful things - granted, this year, John got a big present from me! He was stunned, somewhat surprised, and floored that I went to Lenox Mall for it - ha ha! Presents Part 1Part II: John opening the Xbox One I got him! I was excited! Just a little. My video of John opening the Xbox One - you can get a little idea of his silliness from this clipPart III: Finishing the presents: others and James's present to meSpock the cat likes clutter; James's cat Suki does not and could not be foundJames attempts to get Spock to go in the skinny box. It does not work. Dad puts a box on James's back.
James went to a hot air balloon festival this weekend with our cousin Matt and friends. It looks like it was a TON of fun. I wish I could have gone. I love hot air balloons! He took some great photos, a sampling of which are below.
