Saturday, May 2, 2015, Attending my third troop with Rebel Legion today at a Gwinnett Braves game, as well as resting from yesterday's tiring day and updating website.
Friday, May 1, 2015, A tiring day in which I labeled 5' end of my RNA with 5-IAF (fluorescein derivative), broke the bottle of APS (polymerizing agent) and spilled a half-box of tips in the meantime - I was not in great form.
Thursday, April 30, 2015, I decided to focus on 5' end labeling my RNA and started up a large scale reaction for that - Hyunmin passed his second year report! - and I went to Ali's Cookie store and ate two cookies to celebrate.
Wednesday, April 29, 2015, I discovered that the DNA-RNA hybrid did not ligate as I had hoped - darn it.
Tuesday, April 28, 2015, Lab meeting was fun! - Afterward, my mother-in-law Jackie came to visit the lab after her dentist appointment - and I started preparing for my serious experiments, as all my reagents came in that I needed today - also organized all my papers at my desk until I could find things again.
Monday, April 27, 2015, My summer student and her dad visited the lab to hash out final details regarding the summer - and I started creating my summer schedule for the next few weeks and months.
[A WEEK IS MISSING HERE AHHH!]
Tuesday, April 21, 2015, Slept great, felt better, studied for virology test all day, went to lab meeting, remembered some DNA I needed to order - I think we're on the verge of a breakthrough! - I can feel it.
Monday, April 20, 2015, Studied for virology test all day and picked up some packages for my research in the morning, feeling exhausted all day and wishing I could sleep.
Sunday, April 19, 2015, Awesome message at church but exhausted all day, John feeling sick - wrote fan fiction instead of boardgaming as usual, and studied virology some as well - went out to eat at iHOP with Rebel Legion and 501st.
Saturday, April 18, 2015, Brainstormed research ideas in the morning, finished looking over cousin's statement of purpose for grad school, relaxed with John playing SWTOR and stayed up too late.
Friday, April 17, 2015, Organized my data and met with Khalid - he had some great thoughts to add - I like our current direction - and Keon passed his second year report!!
Thursday, April 9, 2015, Found a slug in the morning, ran a successful experiment with Sam's help and the aminoallyl-UTP came in the mail ALREADY which made me ecstatic!
Wednesday, April 8, 2015, Today, I read about how to use aminoallyl-UTP in RNA transcription reactions, while ordering supplies.
Tuesday, April 7, 2015, My parent's 30th anniversary, feeling really happy, class was exhausting, long and intense about Epstein-Barr virus and my experiment was a bust, but I didn't mind.
Monday, April 6, 2015, Ms. Harmon's students coming to visit chased random Monday blues, as I had a blast showing them everything in sight and so did they - changed and refreshed my outlook for the whole week in fact - praising the Lord for it.
Sunday, April 5, 2015, Celebrated Easter, attended a great service, played SWTOR, ate chocolate, spent time with John.
Saturday, April 4, 2015, Took back supplies I hadn't used from the ATL science festival expo in the morning, felt productive, ran HMs in SWTOR in the afternoon and made two new online friends.
Friday, April 3, 2015, First day feeling normal and not depressed, and had a wonderful, peaceful, relaxing day organizing data.
Thursday, April 2, 2015, Sadness finally broke and felt less oppressed, as I realized that since I know the Giver, I have everything I need, and for now, it just wasn't to be, but I can still be plenty happy because I am already over blessed.
Wednesday, April 1, 2015, Still in a funk, and ran an experiment with Sam.
Tuesday, March 31, 2015, Found out I got an honorable mention on NSF graduate research fellowship, while Josh won - felt inferior and failure at life - and became overwhelmingly depressed for a time.
